"We interviewed two other landscapers before hiring Larkspur. The difference was extraordinary. The others offered some shrubs to plant and some mulch but Larkspur came back with a fabulous design for the entire yard and then let us scale it back as we pleased. No pressure at all but I will mention that if Joseph or Seana make a recommendation – take it. I never felt pressure to buy and believe both their interests are truly to walk away and leave something behind you will love. They have passion for this and the knowledge to put it to work. At first the cost seemed about right, but after watching Joseph spend hours laying bluestone just right, or seeing the incredible variety of native plants selected by Seana, it was a bargain. We have all sorts of shapes and textures and colors in the yard now. If you live in the mid-coast Maine area and don’t at least interview Larkspur you are crazy. We love what they did and they obviously love doing what they do."

"We have lived in our field-meets-forest setting for twenty years and have extensive foundation gardens and perimeter plantings. For years we have taken care of it ourselves but our daughter was getting married in our yard and we needed help sprucing up the gardens for the wedding! Seana and her crew breathed new life into the gardens without making them look new. They rearranged, added and removed plants, cleaned up overgrown bushes, and artfully added new front garden bushes and annuals throughout. The plant selections completely fit our goal of a mature, native Maine feel. The color, placement and structure of plant material is pleasing from any window of my home in any season. “I had just had a home built and was in need of landscaping. I got in touch with Seana at Larkspur Design and she came over to look at the yard and hardscaping I had in place. She took measurements and came up with a design for my space. I built in a development and wanted some plantings that offered some privacy as well as covered a retaining wall.
